- Please find here enclosed a certified copy of Temporary Register No. 8-F, issued to the American steam tanker Montebello on December 5, 1941, and under which this vessel was operateing [sic] at the time of its attack and destruction.
- This office has been advised that the report of casualty will be filed at the vessels [sic] home port, Los Angeles, by the Union Oil Company of California.
