We live in an age of territoral expansion, and since this policy carries the influence of Great Britain into many lands, few things can afford more interest to the average Briton than the observance of the readiness of fellow-subjects across the seas to adopt the laws, customs and religion of the Mother Country. So entirely is this spirit of emulation abroad that we are brought to speak of “Greater Britain,” knowing
