Dover in the Delaware State, Wednesday, February 4 A. D. 1789,

At a Meeting of the Electors for the Delaware State, appointed under the Directions of the Constitution of the United States, the following Persons were ballotted for, to wit,

For

George Washington Esq. 3 Votes,
John Jay Esq. 3 Votes.

We, the Electors for the said State, do hereby certify, that the abovesaid George Washington and John Jay, Esquires, were unanimously elected by Ballot as aforesaid. In Testimony whereof We have hereunto subscribed Our Names, the Day and year abovewritten.
