Perſons may have Recourſe to the Regiſter Book.IV. AND be it further Enacted; by the Authority aforeſaid, That all and every Perſon and Perſons ſhall and may have Recourſe to the Regiſter Book, and the Regiſter ſhall and may receive for entering every Horſe Eight Pence, for every Search Eight Pence, and for a Copy of a Certificate Eight PenceRegiſter's and Officers Fees., and every Officer appointed by the Judges aforeſaid to ſerve Proceſs, ſhall and may receive for ſerving a Citation or Summons Two Shillings and Eight pence, an Execution Five Shillings and Four Pence, and Ten per Cent. Commiſſions on Sales.Continuance of the Act. And this Act ſhall continue and be in Force for Two Years from the Twentieth Day of May next, and from thence to the End of the next Seſſion of the General Aſſembly.


CHAP. XII.

An Act for enlarging the Time of ſaving Lots in the Town of Windſor, in Bertie County.

Preamble.I.WHEREAS from the Impſſibility of procuring Nails, and other neceſſary Materials for building, as well as from many other unavoidable Hindrances, occaſioned by the preſent Conteſt with Great Britain, it hath been put entirely out of the Power of the Inhabitants of the Town of Windsor, in Bertie County, to compleat their Buildings on their reſpective Lots within the Time limited by Law;

Further Time allowed for ſaving Lots. II. BE if therefore Enacted, by the General Aſſembly of the State of North-Carolina, and by the Authority of the ſame, That every Lot in the ſaid Town on which a House ſhall be built of the Dimenſions mentioned in an Act of Aſſembly, intituled, An Act for eſtablishing a Town on the Land of William Gray, on Cuſhy River, in Bertie County, or other Improvements made thereon, which ſhall be deemed by the Directors or commiſſioners of the ſaid Town equal thereto, within Three Years after the paſſing this Act, and alſo every Lot therein which ſhall be hereafter ſold or conveyed by the Directors or Commiſſioners of the ſaid Town, on which ſuch Houſe ſhall be erected and built, or other Improvements made, which ſhall be deemed by the Directors or Commiſſioners of the ſaid Town equal thereto, within the Space of Two Years after the Date of the Conveyance executed for the ſame, ſhall and is hereby declared to be veſted in the Grantee thereof, his Heirs and Aſſigns, in Fee Simple; any Thing in the ſaid Act contained to the contrary, notwithſtanding.


CHAP. XIII.

An Act for appointing Commiſſioners for building a Court-Houſe, Priſon, and Stocks, for the County of Tryon.

Preamble.I.WHEREAS the Commiſſioners heretofore by Act of Aſſembly appointed for building a Court-Houſe, Priſon, and Stocks, for the ſaid County of Tryon, have failed to diſcharge the Truſt repoſed in them:
