堂観永北洛
YHEIKANDO
Yeikando was founded by Montoku Tenno in the year 854 to worship Buddhist.
The first preacher of this religion in the temple was Shinsai who was grandson of Kobodaishi the celebrated priest.
There are many splendid statues which the people think to be very holy.
There is a remarkable fine garden and this place is known as one of the finest in Higashiyama.
It is close to Nanjenji.
