i saw the note about the translator and i dont really know much about wiki editing so i will just leave this note about where it is from. the same translation is found at and is available to copy with attribution for noncommercial purposes

... or for any purposes. Per the note at that source: "This rendition of Machiavelli's Discourses is taken from a translation attributed to Henry Neville, first published in 1675, and reprinted in 1772." So it's a PD translation. —Quadell (talk / swapmeet) 23:34, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
