That Royle Girl (1925)
by Edwin Balmer

A silent comedy film of the same name based on this novel, directed by D. W. Griffith, was produced in 1925. That film is now considered lost, and in 1980, the American Film Institute included this film among its list of the "Ten Most Wanted" lost films of all time.
