Nicolas Trigault
(1577–1628)

a Flemish Jesuit missionary to China. He was also known by his latinised name Trigautius or Trigaultius, and Chinese name Jīn Nígé (金尼閣). As a writer, most notably he translated from Italian to Latin, as well as expanded, De Christiana expeditione apud Sinas, the book originally written by Matteo Ricci.
