Endnotes[edit]

I’d like to suggest a way to deal with endnotes: see the end note and the poem.

In short, every endnote gets enclosed in a section named noteX and gets transcluded inside the ref tags of the page referencing it. See mw:Extension:Labeled section transclusion. χchi (talk) 14:54, 3 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

It’s even possible to enclose the ref tags inside includeonly so that only the transcluded work in the mainspace displays the endnotes. See Special:Permalink/7356964 χchi (talk) 15:06, 3 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
On second thought i don’t think it’s wrong for the note to be shown on the page. χchi (talk) 11:06, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

An easier alternative might be to mark the end notes into sections, and either link to the relevant anchored section from the Notes in the header of the poem, or transclude that section below the poem onto the same page in the Main namespace. --EncycloPetey (talk) 16:52, 3 April 2018 (UTC).Reply

Is the plan to put every poem on its own page? Otherwise I still think it’s easier to put the reference the endnote directly in the Page namespace. χchi (talk) 11:06, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Normally, yes, we would put every poem on its own page. --EncycloPetey (talk) 14:33, 4 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
In any case I made {{Endnote}} which is meant to transclude a specific section from one or more pages. See Special:Permalink/7358709. χchi (talk) 07:33, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
I've proofread the notes according to that format, so someone can go along and make sure they're all added. -Einstein95 (talk) 07:09, 14 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Formatting[edit]

So far there are two methods of formatting used for poetry in this text. We should reach a consensus for uniformity. @Bradype, @Slowking4: &c. Londonjackbooks (talk) 01:54, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
