@Keith Edkins: Quick question from a complete Wikisource newbie. The title page for this book has what seems to be the same squiggly line as is found on this page, and is represented with {{custom rule|w|40|w|40|w|40|}}. Should this page also use that format, or is there a reason to have a straight line here instead? Thanks! Samwalton9 (talk) 14:09, 2 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

It's mostly up to the editors' discretion how closely they care to try to reproduce the formatting of the printed text. It is however good to be consistent within a work. Either changing this page and all future pages that have those lines to use that specially formatted line, or change the title page to use a normal rule ({{rule|width=120px}}) would be a solution. @Prosody: Ok, thanks. Should Index_talk:The_Book_of_Scottish_Song.djvu be updated to say which has been decided on? FWIW, I think the squiggly is better since it more accurately reflects the text and isn't too cumbersome to include. Sam Walton (talk) 22:04, 2 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Samwalton9: Probably no comment is needed. The squiggly line in question appears in only two places in the entire volume, as far as I've seen. --EncycloPetey (talk) 22:10, 2 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
