Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikisource! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You are welcome to continue editing articles without logging in, but you may wish to create an account. Doing so is free, requires no personal information, and provides several benefits. Creating an account on Wikisource has many of the same benefits as creating an account on Wikipedia. For one thing, if you continue to edit without a username, your IP address is used to publicly identify you.

In any case, I hope you enjoy donating your time to grow the Wikisource library that is free for everyone to use! In discussions, please sign your comments using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your IP address (or username if you're logged in) and the date. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question here (click edit) and place {{helpme}} before your question. Again, welcome! --Eliyak T·C 18:56, 16 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DNBer?[edit]

Thanks for filling some of the gaps in the wikipedia fields in the biographies, a little note that the name should appear exactly as it is at WP, eg. wikipedia = William Anderson (writer/preacher). I have back-tracked and inverted the links on the prior pages. I do hope that you have seen our project page at Wikisource:WikiProject DNBbillinghurst sDrewth 12:26, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I originally did that but they were remaining in the category DNB no WP. Not sure what I must have been doing wring before.

May just need to purge the category http://en.wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=Category:DNB_No_WP&action=purge to refresh its contents. Category update often isn't immediate as it is deprioritised. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:02, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank-you… JamAKiska (talk) 16:34, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You are a machine, back from a sleep and you are still metronomically working through. Are you sure that you don't prefer to be logged in as a user. It means we can align the edits with a known account, and that allows us to better patrol works as we assign editing rights (temporarily or permanently). — billinghurst sDrewth 21:56, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I suppose I should log in as Boleyn, same as I am on WP. 92.23.84.226 22:00, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

James Stopford (bishop)[edit]

Thanks for the wp link support, have established the links on the redirect pages and Bishop of Cloyne page using (bishop) to disambiguate him from the earls. JamAKiska (talk) 05:36, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for that. 92.23.84.226 08:53, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify them. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
