SPIELHAGEN, FRIEDRICH VON (1829-1911), German novelist (see 25.667), published during his later years Freigeboren (1900); Die schönen Amerikanerinnen (1902); Ultimo (1903); and Am Wege (1903). He died at Charlottenburg, Berlin, Feb. 25 1911.
