PROBA, VALERIA PALCONIA,
Was the wife of Adolphus, the Roman proconsul, in the reigns of Honorious and Theodosius the Younger. She composed a Virgilian cento upon the books of the Old and New Testaments, which was printed at Frankfort, in 1541. She also wrote an epitaph on her husband.
