JASHON, LAND OF. During the last great war between the Nephites and Lamanites in A. C. 345, the former were driven to the land of Jashon, and hence northward to the land of Shem. This is the only time that this land is mentioned in the Book of Mormon (Mormon, 2:16). It is supposed to have been situated on the northern continent.
