BYFIELD (ADONIRAM), bookseller in London, (1) Bible in Pope's Head Alley near Lombard Street, 1657; (2) Three Bibles in Cornhill next door to Pope's Head Alley, 1660 (1657–60). Son of the Puritan divine of this name. Apprenticed to Ralph Smith for seven years from May 7th, 1649.
