גורדלי m. (גרד) scraper, scratcher, gurdli, a nick- name for an inferior white wine, adopted as a play on חרדלי a dark red wine (mustard-colored). Gen. R. s. 98 וכ׳ ג׳ יין ... חרדלי יין if thou drankest hard'li, thou drankest wine; if gurd'l, thou drankest bad wine. Sabb. 62b sq. (an obscene disguise for a fair complected woman).
*גורזקי a trap or cage. Sabb. 106b לג׳ שיכניסנו עד שלו until he forces him (the lion) into his &c. [Ms. M. גדורקרי (or גדוד׳); O. גרודרקי; Ar. גרדלקי; s. v. גדיגוד. גדורקי; ed. Sonc. גזדקי; ed. גוריתא, גורייתא f. (v. גוריא) a young female cub (dog or lion). Erub. 86a (prov.) נבחא עול כלבא בך נבח וכ׳ גוריתא בך Ar. (ed. גוריית׳ בך נבח, corr. acc., v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 400) if the dog barks at thee, go in; if the bitch barks at thee, go away, i. e. you can endure a quarrelsome son-in-law, but not a quarrelsome daugh- ter-in -law. Sabb. 67a (in a charm formula) דגורייתא אאאוסי (Rashi דגורית׳) on the nostrils of a lioness. -- Pl. גורייתא, גוריאתא. Ib. 155b זוטרי בג׳ it means young dogs (which eat flesh with difficulty).
