ועדה f. (preced. wds.) appointment, designation of time; insuspensibility. Y. Yoma VI, 43d bot. בה שכתוב ו׳ כלום מינה שמע לית במועדו from an appointment (of time or space) in a biblical law where the word במועדו is used, we can derive nothing (for other actions). Ib. [read:] ו׳ משיח בפר קיים הייה בי בין רבי ליה ואמר and he said to him, R. B. bar H. applied the designation of time, i. e. the rule of insuspensibility, even to the offering of the anointed priest.

ורדינא II (ורדניא, ורדוניא) pr. n. pl. Var dina (Vardania, Vardunia), a town in Babylonia, near Be-Berai. Sot. 10a וארדוניא ed. (some ed. וורדוני, Ar. וורדינא). Erub. 49a ורדינא אנשי (Ms. M. incorr. ורדינאה, Ms. O. ורדניא, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note; R. Hananel; וורדאן, v. Berl. Beitr. Geogr. p. 34, note 3) the men of V. (known for their stinginess).
