חוט, m חוטין f. (חטט) incisors. Bekh. VI, 4 (39a) החיצונות ח׳ (Mish. ed. חיטיו, read חו׳) the central two incisors, הפנימיות (Bab. ed. הפנימים) the one each to the right and left of the central incisors. lb. 35a; 37a.

חוט II to fasten, esp. (denom. of חוט) to provide a shoe with sttraps. Y. Kil. IX, 32d top מסאניה ליה יחוט לא that he should not make for his (woolen) shoes straps of flax but leather thongs. Ib. בכיתן מסאניה מיחוט מהו (not, דכ׳) is it permitted to put tlax straps on &c. ? Pa. חייט, חיט 1) same, to fasten, strap. Targ. Y. Deut. XXV, 9. -- 2) to sew. Targ. חוטם m. (חטם, v. חתם) [seal, mark,] 1) the distinctive featnre of the foce, nose, nostril. Yeb. חוטרא II, חטרא m. (v. חטר, cmp. גזרא II) fold, enclosure. Targ. Mic.
