טובעני I m. (preced.) land submerged by a flood. Taan. 10a יובשני ולא ט׳ better flooded land than rain- less land.

*טווזיג, טוז׳ m. (=זיג טב, v. זוגא) merry company. picnic of young men. Ab. Zar. 14a בט (Ms. M. בטווזא) 'the son's feast of which R. Judah speaks (Tosef. ib. I, 21) means a picnic (not a wedding). [Perles Et. Sf. p. 11 refers to Pers. t i. tus, Arab. תוזיע.]
טווח, טוח m. (טוח II) pressing the bow, shot, shooting distance. -- Pl. טווחים, טוח׳. Gen. R. s. 53 (ref. to כמטחוי, Gen. XXI, 16) מיל בקשת ט׳ שני (Rashi a. l. טיחות) two shooting distances with the bow are a mile (מיל); Yalk. Gen. 94.

טוות, טות f. (stem טה, טו, cmp. טהר; cmp. Arab. tavi) [clearness, emptiness,] (adv.) with an empty stomach, without meal, fasting. Dan. VI, 19. -- Pes. 107a, v. בית -- Ber. 55a ט׳ בלא חלום כל Ms. M. (ed. ולא) no dream is to be feared in which fasting plays no part; [Ar.; every dream has some reality, except that which one dreams while fasting].

טוח I (b. h.) 1) to cover with a cohesive substance, to plaster. Part. טח. M. Kat. 7a בטיט טח ואינו but puts no clay on. Cant. R. to VIII, 6 גגות טחי roof-plasterers. Neg. XIII, 1 וטח and plasters the spot over; a. fr. -- Part. pass. טות coated, covered with viscid or glittering matter. -- Midd. IV, 1 בזהב ט׳ coated with gold; (Num. R. s. 12 נטוה). -- Nidd. 24a טוחות בפניו (Rashi טהות) when the face of the embryo is covered over (no features distinguishable). Nif. ניטוח to be pasted on, to stick. Y. Kiil. טוח ch. same, to plaster, smear. Pes. 30a, v. טיחיא. Af. אטח 1) same. Zeb. 95b אטחו (Ms. R. 2 דטחו), v. טיחיא. -- 2) (with מלין) to talk rebelliously. Targ. Y. Gen. XV, 6.
טוח II (v. טחי) to press, squeeze. Hull. 109b טחו בכותל presses it against the wall (to make the milk flow out). -- Part. pass. טוח sgueezed in. Num. R. s. 10 (ref. to Job XXXVIII, 36) וכ׳ טוחות שהן הכליות אלו that means the kidneys which are wedged into the body. Hif. הטיח 1) to press, squeeze, knock against. Ber. 34b וכ׳ ה׳ אלמלי (Ms. M. הניח, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) if Ben. Z. (myself) had squeezed his head between his (the son's) knees (praying for his recovery). Gen.
