*טורוס (sub. מיטת) f. (torus) bolster, couch, sofa. Pirke d'R. El. ch. XLI פרוסה שהיא כטנדס Ar. (ed. only כטנדס, corr. acc., and add האהל בתוך v. Mekh. Yithro, Bahod. s. 4 המטה ראש על הכר את מציע שהוא כאדם) like a couch which is spread in a tent. [Ar. refers טנדס to the late Latin tenta, Gr. ׳~vva (v~a), Italian tenda.]
טורזיא m. pl. (טרד=טרז II; cmp. טרוזא) [locked up things, cmp. אוצר,] royal wardrobe, armory. Ber. 56a וכ׳ ט׳ ריש (some ed. טורזינא, Ar. טרזיא) the chief of the royal wardrobe dreamt. Ber. 56a ט׳ דריש אפתחא (Ar. טרזיא, v. preced.) at the entrance of the chief treasury; [prob. to be read; ט׳ דבי, דריש having come in by tautography from the suceed- ing טורזיא ריש.]-- B. Bath. 8a וכ׳ ולטר׳ . . . לשורא (Ms. F. טורדינא, Alf. Ms. טורדיתא) for the maintenance of the town-wall, the horse-guard and the armory even or- phans must contribute. -- 2) (sub. ריש) superintendent of the armory or treasury. Erub. 80a וכ׳ ט׳ ההוא (ed.
