כנתא f. (כנן) winding, convolution, 1) (sub. דמעיא) ileum, the third division of the small intestines. Hull. 48b; 113a, v. הדורא. Gitt. 69a פטירתא כ׳ the ileum of a. firstsborn. -- Yalk. Koh. 976 (counting ten stations of the digestive process) מעיא לכנת עבה מכרוכא from the large winding (jejunum) to the ileum (corresp. to דיבי (סני(א, Lev. R. s. 3, a. Koh. R. to VII, 19). [Koh.
