ליבון, לב׳m. (לבן II) 1) whitening, cleansing. B. Kam. םgb שינוי הוי מי ול׳ is whitening (he stolen wool) a change (by which the right of paying an indemnity instead of restoring the object is acquired)? Y. ib. IX, beg. 6b; a. e. . Pl. ליבונים, לב׳; ל׳ ימי the days after menstruation during which white garments are worn while marital contact is still prohibited. Sabb. 13b וכ׳ לבוניך בימי how did he behave towards thee in thy days of white garments?- 2) heating, glowing. Bets. 34a רעפים ל׳ משום because it resembles the act of heating (new) tiles, v. לבן. -- Hull. 8a, v. חידוד. Y. Ab. Zar. V, end, 45b ל׳ צריכה (not ליבין) requires purification by fire (Num.
