מוותנין m. pl. ch. =h. מתנים, loins, sides. Targ.Y. Gen. XXI, 14. -- Hull. 51a להו שדו אמותנייהו (Rashil אמת׳) they throw them so that they fall on their sides.
מותנתא f. pl. (?) = מותנא. Targ. Y. Lev. XXVI, 16 (ed. Amst. מותנהא, corr. acc.).

מותר m. (b. h.; יתר) remainder, surplus. Shek. IV, 3 וכ׳ שירי מותר what remains over of the surplus fund of &c. Ib. 4. Men. 83b הפסח מ׳ what has not been used of the money (or the animals) dedicated for the Passover sacrifice; a. fr. -- Pl. מותרות. Y. Yoma V, beg. 42b תנאי וכ׳ המ׳ על הוא ב״׳ד (not תנייא) it is a silent agreement of the authorities that surpluses (from sacrificial appropri- ations) shall be applied to burnt-offferings. Sifra Tsav, Mill., end מותריהם their remnants.
מותר, מותרא ch. 1) same. Targ. O. Ex. XVI, 23. Targ. Y. II Ex. XII, 34 (h. text משארתי); a. e. - Lev. מזבנא, מזבנה m. (זבן) seller. Targ. Is. XXIV, 2 (some ed. מזבננא). -- Y. B. Mets. V, beg. 10a למ׳ וי מיכן יותר if prices rise above that, woe to the seller (on time). Esth. R. to III, 6 למזבניה ליה ווי (not למיזב׳) woe to him who sells it (the king's purple). Pesik. R. s. 21, v. זבינא II.
מזבננא, מזובנ׳ same. Targ. Ex. VII, 12, en. (ed. Wil. מזוב׳). Targ. II Esth. III, 11; a. e.
מזג (denom. of מזג; b. h. מסך) to mix wine with water, spices &c.; to temper; in gen. to fill the cups, to ofer drink.. Ab.
