נבות (b. h.) pr. n. m. Naboth, a citizen of Jezreel. Snh. 102b, a. e. (ref. to Kings X XII, 22) ׳ שגל רוהו he spirit of (the murdered) Naboth. Shebn. 35b וכ׳ בכ׳ . .. שמות כל all tthe naimes (lIllohim) Imentioned in connection with Naboth (I Kings X XI, 10; 13) are sacred (imeaning God).

נבזבא, fנבזבה f. (=נבזבז׳, v. בזבז) present, laroess. ban. II, 6; a. e. -- P. זבן נב. Targ. Jer. Xb, 5 (ed. Vil. לבזבן). -- נבזבייתא (fr. זבית גב), constr. נבזכיית. Targ. Y. Ieut. X XIII, 24. -- [Ian. V, 17, v. נבוז.]
נב (b. h.) to bark. Y. Yoma V III, 4 5b top (of the mad dog) בו נובזין והכלבים aud the dogs bark at hiim; ib. וכ׳ נובד הוא אב he barks, too, but his voice is not audible; Bab. ib. 83b. Ex. R. s. 0ד, end; a. c. םeww ew, eeee cb. sa me. Targ. EEx. X I, 7 למנבה (ed. Berl. למייבח). Targ. Is. LV I, 10 למיבח ed. Lag. (oth. ed. למ׳). -- Pes. 1113a do not live in a place כלבא בה ׳ דלא where no dog barkks. Erub. 86a, v. גוריתא; a. fr. Paa. נבח 1) same. Geo. R. s. 59 eud מנבחתזין כלביא קל מכlוש (not, מנבחחים) and hears the dogs bnrlk; Yalk. ib. 10. --- 2) to produce a dull sound. Ber. 57 נבוחי בה ונבחי v. טבלא I.
