נדד ch. same, to be restless, flee. Targ. Job VII, 4. Targ. Ps. LV, 8. Targ. Esth. VI, 1 נדת; a. fr. Pa. נדד 1) same. Targ. Job XV, 23 (some ed. מנדד part. pass. Af. driven about). - 2) to make (sleep) fee, to keep awake. Targ. Esth. l. c. נדיד ed. Lag. (ed. Amst. נדד; oth. ed. נדי; corr. acc.). -3)to cause to be sleepless. Targ. II Esth. l. c. Ithpe. אתנדד to be restless, agitated. Ib.
נדדת, ני׳ f. pl. constr,, שינתא נ׳ (preced.) wakefulness. Targ. Job VII, 4 (h. text נדדים).

נדה f. (b. h.; נדה) 1) (v. נידוי) isolation, condition of uncleanness, esp. period of menstruation. Sabb. 64b, a. e. (ref. to Lev. XV, 33) וכ׳ ההא בניתה she shall remain in her isolationt(from her husband)until &c. Ib. VI, 5שהתקינה לנדתה which she has prepared for her menstruating time. Ib. II, 6 בנ׳ (e= ׳ במצות) in the observance of the laws connected with menstruation; a. fr. -- 2) (sub. בעלת) a woman during menstruation, menstruant. Nidd. I, 7 חון הנ׳ מן, expl. ib. 11a נדתה ימי בתוך during the days of actual menstruation. Treat. Kallah beg. טבלה שלא ׳ a. woman after menstruation before she has taken the ritual bath; כנ׳ is to be treated like a woman during menstru- ation; a. fr. - Pl. נדות. Nidd. נדונא, נדו׳ f. (נדד) [migrant,] name of a species of edible ocusts. Targ. Y. Lev. XI, 22 (ed..VVien. נדונא); v. נדיין.
נדוניא, נדונייא m. (v. נדן) a brides outft, given by her father; wedding eguipment. B. Mets. 74b זוזי יהיב וכ׳ לנ׳ paid a stipulated amount for an outfit to be de- livered at the house of his daughter's father-in-law; לסוף נ׳ זל in the meanwhile the value of the equipment was reduced (and the father-in law refused to receive it for the value stipulated). Keth. 54 לברת ׳ . . . ההוא a man in his dying bequest defined the nature of the equipmment for his daughter. Taan. 24a; a. e.
נדח (b. h.) to slip, move away. Nif. נדח 1) (interch. with דחה) to be banished, exiled. Y. Snh. X, 29c top (ref. to Is. XXVII, 13) זו . . והנידחים וכ׳ דר those who were exiles in the land of Egypt' means the generation of the wilderness. Midr. Till. to Ps. CXLVII, 2 שנדחו (or שנדחו); a. e. - 2) to be made to slip, to be led away (to idolatry); הנדחת עיר the case of a place whose inhabitants were led astray, the condemaed town. (Deut. XIII, 13 to 18). Snh. X, 4 הנ׳ עיר אנשי the in- habitants of a condemned city. Tosef. ib. XIV, 1, a. e. וכ׳ היתה לא הנ׳ עיר a case of a condemned city never occurred nor ever will occur. Ib. עיירות שלש עושין אין וכ׳ נידחות three cities dare not be condemned (at a time) in Palestine; Yalk. Deut. 886 מנודחות (Pu.); a. fr. Hif. הדיח to ead astray. Snh. Ib. שה׳ נביא a prophet that led a. town astray. Ib. X, 4 (111b) נשים הדיחוה if women led a town astray; לה חוצה מדיחיה היו if the seducers were outsiders; אנשים שידיחוה עד unless the seducers are men; a. fr. Hof. הודח 1) to be led astray. נדי, נדה (b. h.; cmp. preced.) to be restless, flee. Pi. נדה to banish, excommmunicate. Ber. 19a נדו מי את whom did they (the scholars) excommunicate? Ib. בד הרב כבוד על מנדין the court proclaims the ban to protect a teacher's authority. Pes. 52a וכ׳ שני על מנדין we ex- communicate for disregarding the second Holy Day ob- served in the diaspora; a. v. fr. -- [Yalk. Is. 287 עלי נדית, v. נדנד.]- Part. pass. מנודה; pl. מנודין. M. נדי II, נדא ch. =h. נזה 1) to bespatter, asperse. Kidd. 49a וכ׳ גבי (בי) נדיא ואזלא Ar., that she may go and asperse me before my neighbors. -2) (neut. verb) to spatter, be sprinkled. Targ.
