נסע (b. h.) to move, march. Tosef. Sot. VIII, 1 יום בכל וכ׳ אחר נוסע . . every day the ark moved behind two standards (divisions), .., but on that day it moved in front; Sot. 33b. Num. R. s. 2 נוסעים .. נוסעים שהיו לאחר המשכן את after these ttwo standardshad moved, theLevites marched (carrying) the Tabernacle. Yalk. ib. 686 מתקרבים ליסמע came together to make ready for the march. Mekh. B'shall, Vayass'a, s. 1 וכ׳ נסעו לא נסיעה זו this march they undertook by the order of Moses, but all other marches they made at the order of the Deity, a. fr. נסק (b. h. נשק) to go up, ascend; v. מסק. Hif. הפיק 1) to impose a taax, to assess, v. מעיק II. -- 2) to bring to a conclusion, v. מיק I. --3) to put on wood, to make the flaome rise; [cmp. כלה Hiff.,] to start a fire, to heat. Bets. 32a, a. e. וכ׳ בכלים משיקין you may, on the Holy Day, use wooden vessels for heating &c. Pes. 27b המסיק he who put the wood on. Ib. וכ׳ שדפיקו תנור if one heated an oven with wood belonging to the sanctuary &c. Sabb. III, 1 וכ׳ בקש שהסיקוה כירה a range which they heated with straw &c. Tosef.
