נציר m. (b. h. Kethib; נצר) guarded; (homiletically interpreted יצ) that which is being formed, embryo, premature birte. -- P. נצירים, constr. נצידי. Y. Shebi. IV, end, 35c וכ׳ נפלים אפילו even premature births will have a share in the resurrectioo, as we read (Is. XLIX, 6) &c.

נצל (b. h.; cmp. אצל) to remove, set aside. Pi. נצל to empty, ransack. Esth. R. to III, 9 שנצלו עד מצרים את so that they ransacked Egypt. Niff. נצל, ניעל, ניצול י) to be ftt for throming away (as נצל), to be decayed. Y. Naz. VII, 56b bot. המת בשר שנצל Ar. (Ar. ed. Rome שנצול; ed. שנתוק), v. נצל. - 2) (b. h.) to be rescued, saved. Midr. Till. to Ps. I מידו נצלחי לא Idid not escape his power; Yalk. Num. 750 נוצלתי (read; ניצ׳; ed. LIv. נצולתי). Yoma 86b הימנה ו׳ .. . שבאת כגון when an opportunity to sin offered itself to him once and again, and he escaped it; Kidd. 39b. Esth. R. to II, 7 לינצל עתידין וכ׳ are destined to be saved through me; להנצל עתידין ידיה על be saved tthrough her. B. Sabb. 115a וכ׳ מעיליננן אצולי השתא since we are bound to save them (on the Sabbath), is it necessary to say that they require burying (when defective)?; a. fr. ttaf. אתצל to be saved. Ab. Zar. 18a bot. ומתעלת and thouלshalt be saved.
נצל, ני׳ m. (preced. wds.) [that which is thrown away,] decayed matter, esp. (in levitical law) liguid and coaguw- lated portions of a corpse. Ohol. II, 1; Naz. VII, 2. Y. ib. VII, 56b bot. וכ׳ ומוהל שנתוק המת בשר ׳ איזהו (Ar. ששנצל) what is netsddd (iu levitical law)? A corpse which is dis- solving &c., v. מוהל; Bab. ib. 50a שקרש המת בשר נ׳ איזהו שהרתיח ומוהל a secretion from a corpse which became coagulated, and a liquid secretion exposed to heat. Tosef. Ohol. צץ (נו) (b. h.; cmp.צו׳) to sparkle, blossom. Erub. 54a נוצצין, v. הלה. Hiff. הנן 1) to sparkle. Y. Ber. I, 2c החמה שתנן עד; Gen. R. s. 50, a. e. (Pes. 93b הנן עד), v. הנן. - 2) to blossom, sprout. Shebi. IV, 10 משינצו; Pes. 53a משיניו (or משיניצו) as soon as they blossom (expl. Y. Shebi. IV, end, 35c רובע משהכניסו, v. נן). B. Bath. 147a שיניצו בשעה (Ms. M. שהניצו) when they are in blossom. נצץ ch. same, to sprout, grow forth, bloom. Targ. Ps. XCiI, 8. Ib. LXXII, 16 ינצן Ms. (ed. Pa.). Pa. נצן 1) same, v. supra. -- 2) to sparkle. Targ. Ez. I, Levita (ed. מנצנצן Palpel).
