נתז, Pi. נתז (sec. verb of נזה, v. Kidd. 25a) 1) (neut. verb) to sguirt, fly of. Kidd. 25a הזאה ונתזה מזה . . הרי וכ׳ (perh. Niff) if a person (priest) was sprinkling for purification, and the sprinkling few upon his (the unclean person's) mouth. Y. Yoma III, 41a top, a. e. מנקזין, v. ניצון. B. Kam. II, 1 וכ׳ מ׳ . . . היו if stones flew off from under the animal's feet; a. e. --2) (act. verb) to cause to fly of. Ib. 19a מנתזת כן אם אאלא . . במקום where the ani- mal cannot help making stones fiy off. Nidd. 61a ונתזו בקרדומותיהן they chopped with their axes. נתח (b. h.), Pi. נתח 1) to sever, dissect. Zeb. 85a יפשיט וכ׳ וינתח he must fay and dissect it in its place (where he slaughtered it). Hull. 28b אבר אבר שמנתחה כיון (not דמנ׳) since he cuts it into parts; a. fr. -- 2) to distrain, take by force, esp. to seife by waiting for the debtor to come out of the house with an obbject, opp. to משכן, to enter and seize. B. Mets. 113a וכ׳ ינתחו לא אימא read in tthe Mishnah (IX, 13), he must not seize his goods out- side of his house except through the court messenger.
נתח ch., Pa. נתח same, 1) as preced. 2. B. Mets. 113a וכ׳ אין נתוחי the court messenger may distrain out side of the house, but enter and seize he dare not?- 2) to tear, pull.
