סוסרנא m. (r~~~~) a garment made of goat-skin mitth the hair on. -- Pl. סוסרניה. Y. Ned. VII, end, 40c כגון ס׳ אילין (not סוסרנה) like those garments made of goat- skins (the hair of which is not used for clothing). -- V. סיסרנון.

סוערה f. (b. h.;= מסוערה, v. סער II) storm-beaten, restless. Pesik. R. s. 32; Yalk. Is. 339 וכ׳ מערערתא ס׳ smrah (Is. LI)V, 11) means stirred up, for the nations have stirred her (Israel) up (with ref. to Ps. CXXXVII, 7). [Pesik. R. l. c. המצות מן ס׳, read, with Yalk. l. c., ענייה]

סוף I m. (b. h.; v. סוף II) reed, bulrush. - ס׳ ים the sea of Suf (Red Sea). Sot. 12a sq. (ref. to בסוף, Ex. II, 3) וכ׳ ס׳ ים אומר ר״א R. E. says, that means the sea; R. S. says, itt means dgam (v. אגם II, 2); Ex. R. s. 1. Ib. s. 22 ס׳ ים קריעת the splitting of the Red Sea (for the passage of the Israelites); Y. Ber. I, 3 bot.; a. fr.

סוף II (b. h.) to cut; to be cut of; toend. Tanb. B'resh. 12 וכ׳ הטובים וספה and destroys the good and the bad. Pi. סייף to cut, diminish; to exterminate (corresp. to b. h. כלה). Gen. R. s. 100 וכ׳ לסייף יכול מי who can an- nihilate the dust? . . the beasts of the field &c.
