R. s. 30 נעשית שפ׳ שפמע (not פלוטמיא) he heard that a show is coming up; ס׳ . . . שאל he asked a gladiator (לודר), when will the show take place ??; לשאל פ׳ שעושה לאותו he asked him who was to give the show (editord).
פולול, פל׳ m. (פלל) pleading, pillul, one of the terms for prayer. Sifre Deut. 26; Deut. R. s. 2; Yalk. ib. 81 . Yalk. Ex. 260 וכ׳ תפלתן פ׳ עלה (not תכלתן) the pleading of the prayer of the patriarchs arose &c.; (Mekh. B'shall., Vayass a, s. 3 תפלתן עלתה).
*פילומא m. (~~~u~, 8.) mud, clay ground. Sabb. XXII, 6 (147a) לפ׳ יורדין אין Y. ed., a. Ms. M. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note; Bab. ed. a. Mish. קורדימא, v. קירומא) you must not go down to the clay groumd (of the brickyard, on the Sabbath).
