קיץ m. (קצץ) a clearly defined subject. - Pl. קיצין. Cant. R. to V, 11 וכ׳ ק׳ שהן . . . דברים אפי׳ even things in the Law which you would consider clealy defined are piles upon piles (contain material for much discussion).
קיץ ch. (preced.) term, stipulation; (adז.) defined. Ned. 86a, v. אתוציק. Gitt. 30b ׳קד ןויכ the quantity being defined. Keth. 43a ׳ק אלד . . . ׳קד ידימ שניא קיבש אל a man will not forego the claim of aa definite quantity, and demmand something undefined (requiring appraisement); a. e. -- Pl, קיצי. B. Bath. 88a דמיה דק׳ (Rashb. דקייצי) when its price is fixed; והימד ׳קד when their prices are fixed.

קיצה f. (v. קיץ), ק׳ שדה a field of summer fruits. Tosef. B. Mets. IX, 5 ׳כו הב ויהו . . . ׳ק הדש חקולה (ed. Zuck. אציק, Var. הציק, הצוק) if a man buys . . . the crop ot the summer fruits of a field, and there are in it apples ...; whatever is not included in kayits (v. ןיק) belongs to the seller.
קיצה I f. (=קציצה; קצץ) 1) cutting, felling. Tosef. Shebi. III, 14 שוה קיצתה שתהא (ed. Zuck. קיצתו שיהא) that the felling be even (the stumps all alike, v. גרד); Y. ib. IV, 35b bot. קיצצתן (corr. acc., or קציצתן). -- 2) (cmp. קספ) stipulation, agreement. Tosef. Keth. IV, 7 םולכ ןיא הק׳ לאחר (ed. Zuck. הקיצא) after this agreement (that she would support herself and her husband) there can be no claim; Y. ib. V, 29d ןיינק (corr. acc.). - Y. ib. IV, 29a bot.; Y. B. Bath. IX, 17a top ׳ק הל שיש הכמ a disease on the treatment of which there is a definite agreement (with the physician as to his charge), v. קבבה. Tosef. Keth. קיצה II f. (קיץ or קוץ, Hif.) awakening. Pirke dR. El. ch. XXXIV ׳כו רקבה תציק the awakening in he morn- ing is like the world to come; ib. הבקר שינת (corr. acc.).

קיצונים m. pl. (קצץ) slender, dwarfed; הק׳ כצלים onions with minute heads and slender stems. Shebi. V, 4, v. יאנישק; [comment. ׳יק (denom. of ןיק) summmmer-onions, v. יאניטירק].
קיצוע m. (קצע) trimming the ends of a skin. B. Kam. 66b, v. הבעוע.
קיצוצאm. (cmp. קיצונים) [slender,] name of a lizard. Targ. Y. Lev. XI, 30 (ed. Amst. קיצונא; h. text חמט).
קיצוצותא, v. קצתנתא.
קיצותא f. (=קציצותא) = h. קיצה, definite term, stipu- lation. Ned. 4b ק׳ ליה אית דלא משום because there is no definite term for it (a vow of abstinence, unless explicitly limited, is for ever); וכ׳ ק׳ ליה דאית . . . אבל but as to a Nazarite's vow where there is a definite tterm (a Na- sarite's vow, unless qualified, being for thirty days) &c. Ib. 86a ׳ק . . . השא ןיק םתה there (in the case of the transfer of a field for en years) there is a definite end stipulated, but can a woman (dedicating her handiwork to the sanctu- ary after she shall be divorced) define the time? B. Mets. 67b ׳קב by definite stipulation of the time up to which the mortgagee may have the privilege ofusufruct. Ib. וצק (corr. acc.). Keth. 54b ׳כו ודבע אתוצייק אמיתד והמ you may have thought that the Rabbis instituted a definite sum as the wife's jointure in order not to put the poor to shame. Y. ib. קיק I m. (reduplic. of קא; cmp. קאת) name of a bird, pelican. Hull. 63a ׳קה הז תאק Ms. M. (ed. קוקה, v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note), the Biblical kaath is the modern kik, v. קאת; Yalk. Lev. 537 הקוק; Y. Sabb. II, beg. 4'. Ib. (ref. to קיק שמן Mish. II, 1) ק׳ ושמו הוא עוף it is a bird whose name is kikk. [Ror other opinions on the meaning of ׳ק ןמשש, v. אגאפ, אסוסיק, ןויקיק.]
קיק II m. abnormally large membrum virile; [Ar. . abnormally large testiclesl. Bekh. 44b, v. ןתברג, a. ןייק.

קיקולים, קיקולין m. pl. (= קלקול׳, cmp. קיקלון) disgrace, prostitution. Yalk. Ps. 662 יתבו םיצוק יתב דימעה ׳כו ׳קק he put up houses of idolatry (v. ןוק I) and houses ofprostitution &c.; Midr. Till. to Ps. XIV קלקלין (ed. Bub. קיקלין).
קיקיון m. (b. h.) ricinus-tree, or the shrub bearing the castor-berry (Greek אtא, v. Sm. Ant. s. v. Cici, a. Low, Pf., p. 353 sq.). Sabb. 21a (expl. קיק ןמש, Mish. II, 1) לaד הנויד ׳ק רמא Resh Lakish says, it means oil from Jonah's Kikayon. Ib. ׳כו הנויד ׳ק . ידידל I was shown Jonah's K., it resembled &c., v. צלוליבא.
קיקילתא, v. קיקלתא.
קיקלא, קו׳, קק׳c. (==קלקל; קלקל)[refuse.]dunghill. Pesik. Shimu, p. 117a sq. המש ׳ק ׳ק םורת דכו . . טומיה דכ when a palace sinks, its name retmains palace, and when a dunghill rises, its name remains dunghill. Lam. R. to 172a
