׳אדב when the remnant of the libation poured into the depth was intercepted in a vessel; Meil. 11b טלק יאד (ינתק) it refers to a case when one intercepted the libation (v. Rashi a. Tosaf. for Var. Lect.).
קלטא m. (preced.) reception, asylum. Targ. Y. Num. XXXV, 25, sq. היטלק (h. text וטלקמ).
קלטא f. (preced.) receiving, protecting. - Pl. קלטן. Targ. Y. Num. XXXV, 11; 16, sq.
קלטא, קיי׳, קו׳ m. (preced. wds.; cmp. ספג, בלע) [absorbing, ] receiving punishment. Y. Yeb. II, 4a top טובח ׳קב אבט אוהד . . . go on beating, for there is a benefit in taking it (it will teach me a lesson); Y. Kidd. III, 64d bot. הטלקב; Gen. R. s. 7; Tanb. Hukk. 6; Koh. קלטור m. (calator) an officer arranging the royal receptaions. Lev. R. s. 28; Koh. R. to IX, 11, a. e., v. סימוק.
קלטיקה, קלטירה, read; לקטיקה or קלקטיקה m. (v. אקיגולג) (the teached's) litter in college or synag~שקue. Y. Meg. III, 73a bot.
קלי f. (~~~~) handsome. Ex. R. s. 52, end, a. e, v. נינפי.
קלי adv. (apocop. of קליל), ק׳ ק׳ little by little, slowly. Erub. 51a ׳ק ׳ק יגסמ יכ when he walks step by step, opp.. טהר. Sabb. 153b אל ׳ק ׳ק לבא ןר אקוד only when one runs (is it permitted), but when one walks leisurely is it not?
קלי, קלה I (b. h.) to be light, disregarded. Pi. הלק, הליק (by ref. to הלקנו, Deut. XXV, 3) to disgrace (one's self), to have loose bowels; to collapse under the lashes. Macc. 23a ׳כו הנושארב ןיב ׳קק if he collapses either at the first or at the second lash, he must be releas-- ed. Tosef. ib. V (IV), 14 ןהמ דחאב ׳יק םא if he cole lapsed at one of them. Ib. הקל אלש דע ׳ק if he col- apsed (from fear) before receiving lashes. Ib. םאש והודמאא וקי׳ ילקה (Var. יקלקל) if tthe experts opine thhat he will collapse, when he is lashed;'יק דובמ אצוי םאש (Var. לקלקו) that he will collapse on leaving the court; Macc. l. c. הלקי Ms. M. (or הלקי; ed. הלק). Ib. רבכ הלקיש אלו . . . והכהו ׳כו Ms. M. (ed. הקלש, corr. acc.; Var. הלקנש) we read, lest iff he should exceed . . , thy brother be disgraced', but he must not be beaten at all, if he has collapsed in court ere this; Yalk. Deut. 937 ׳כו הלקנש; a. e. Nif. הלקנ to be disgraced. Ib. הלקנו טומ . . . והותפכ ׳ אהו if he runs away from court after they have tied him, he is released; why The text says, v'niklah, and he has been disgraced; Macc. l. c. Ms. M. קלי ch. same, to be disgraced. Targ. O. Deut. XXV, 3 ילקיו Ms. II (ed. Berl. לקיו, oth. ed. לקיו, fr. ללק). Pa. ילק, Af. ילקא to hold in light esteem, revile. Targ. O. Deut. XXVII, 16 ילקיד ed. Berl. (oth. ed. ילקיד; ed. Vien. ילקיד, corr. acc.; Regia לקיד fr. ללק; v. Berl. Targ. O. II, p. 57).
קלי, קלה II (b. h.; cmp. כלה) to consume, burn; to roastt, parch. Sifra Vayikra, N'dab., ch. XIV, Par. 13 רשפאא שרג ועלקי the text might have meant that one must parch it as grit; ביבא ונלקי one must parch it in the ear. Pes. 75a הלקנו, v. next w. -- Part. pass. יולק. Sifra l. c., v. ילק. Men. 66b ׳ק שרג םא ׳ק ביבא םא whether parched in the ear or as grit; a. e. *Hilhpa. הלקתה to consume one's self n longing. Cant. R. to III, 11 אהלקתמ, v. הה.

Mets. 74a ׳כו יקופאו ילקמ רסוחמ אה (somae ed. הלקמ) but it (the lime) lacks burning and taking out of the kiln and crushingl Snh. 31a, sq. היתלק איעב יא if she wanted, she might have burned it (the document). Hull. 52b הירהיז ילק אל, v.. ארהיז II. Ab. Zar. 28a ׳כו ארמא יהנלק roast tthem on a. new shovel. Snh. 96b תילק אילק אלכיה a burnt temple thouu didst burn (v. ןחט); a. fr. - Trnsf. to expose to the evil eye or to the covetousness of thieves. B. Mets. 30a ילק אלקמד ׳כו הל (by exhibiting the found object) he exposes it tto loss through the evil eye or through thieves. Ihpe. ילעיא to be burnt. Soh. l.c. ילקימ אלכיה . . . אטמ the time has arrived for the sanctuary to be destroyed and the Templo to be burnt.
קלי m. (b. h.; preced.) parched ears. Men. X, 4 (66a) ׳ק תוצמ וב םייקל ידכ in order to comply with the law requir- ing it to be parched (Lev. II, 14); Sifra Vayikra, N'dab., ch. XIV, Par. 13 יולק (v. הלק II). Men. 66b אלא ׳ק ןושל ןיא רחא רבד Ms. M. (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note, a. Yalk. Lev. 456) by koli (parched) we understand the intercession of some-- thing else between the fire and the object to be affected by it; ׳כו לילק (רבד) אלא ׳ק ןושל ןיא אaל another version reads; by koli we understand, parched in a vessel (in something hollow); how is this? A tube for parching grain was there &c. Sifra Emor ch. XI, Par. 10 ׳ק חמק flour made of parched grain; Men. X, 5 ׳קו חמק (Bab. ed. 67b ׳ק חמק); Pes. 10b bot. ׳קו חמק (corr. acc.). Ib. 11a ךליאו ׳קמ from the time the grain is parched and onward (when the soft grain is unft for immediate con- sumption); ׳ק וע up to the time when grain can be parched; Men. 68a. Sabb. 155b ׳קה תא ןילבוג ןיא you. must not mix flour of parched grains (with oil &c., on the Sabbath). Tosef. Pes.
