דטונא m. (רטן) charmer. - Pl. constr. דטוני. Targ. Ps. LVIII, 6 (ed. Wil. רטני).
דטוש m. (דטש; v. רטש) an emigrant or fugitive whose estate is abandoned, v. נטוש. -- Pl. רטושים, רטושין. Tosef. Keth. VIII, 3 וכ׳ יודע שאיו כל ר׳ הן אלו r'ushin (in law) are those whose whereabouts is unknown, contrad. to נטושין; Y. ib. IV, 29a וכ׳ אביו שהלך כל ר׳ נכסי הן אלו estate of rtushin is, if one's father, or ... any of those whom he would be entitled to succeed, have gone abroad &c.;Y. Yeb. XV,15atop; B. Mets. 38b. Ib. 39a דמדעתן ר׳ r'ushin are those who leave (or run away) of their own accord (ref. to Hos. X, 14; differ. in Y. l. c. לדעת שיצא זה נטוש). Arakh. רטי, דטה (cmp. דטב) to moisten, sprinkle, soften. Tosef. Toh. V, 16 פשתנו הרוטה (ed. Zolk. הרוטב) he who wets (squirts) his fax (to make it soft for spinning). Ib. IV, 11 וכ׳ הרוטיהו אם ed. Zuck. (Var. הסוטיהו, corr. acc.; ed. Zolk, הרטיבין, read; הרוטבו) he who wets itt (the fax spun by a menstruant) is likewise unclean on account of his mouth (coming in contact with it through the medium of the liquid in squirting). Huf. הרטה [tto cause dripping,] to wring, press. Ex. R. s. 21 בידו אותי ה׳ he caused me to be wrung out in his (Satan's) hand (with ref. to ירטני, Job XVI, 11).

רטיה, רטייה f. (רטה) emollient, plaster, compress. Ex. R. s. 26 וכ׳ בר׳ ומרפא באדמל מכה . . . מידתי אין my (od's) way is not like the way of man (surgeon), who wounds with a knife and heals with a plaster, but I &c.; ib. 50; Lev. R. s. 18, end; Mekh. B'shall., s. 5; Tanh. B'shall. 23; Tanh. Vayesheb 9. Cant. R. to IV, 5 מקדים אין fבו וכ׳ ר׳ a human being does not prepare the plaster before he sees the wonnd, but not so the Lord, he prepares the plaster &c.; Yalk. Jer. 312. Tosef. Pes.
