שבת f. (b. h.; preced.) 1) day of rest, Sabbath. שבת־ בראשית, v. בראשית. Sabb. I, 1 הש׳ יציאות the laws con- cerning the oarrying of objects from one territory (רשות) to another on the Sabbath, v. הוצאה. Ib. 2b דעיקר הכא הוא ששש׳ here where the Sabbath law is the main subject.
