Zar. 2b וכ׳ תברתהון דא ועל and the answer given them on this plea is; why would you not accept (the Law when it was offered yon)-- 2) = receipt. Keth. 56a וכ׳ ת׳ מירכם דילמא the receipt on account may get lost, and he (the creditor) may produce the note and collect the whole amount.
