תרפיה, v. next w.
תרפיון m. (חרף, cmp. רפיון) a laxative. Deut. R. s. I, beg. (expl. לתרופה, Es. XLVII, 12) לת׳ its leaves shall serve as a laxative; Y. Shek. VI, 50a bot. ותרף עליה מצין תרפיה מזונה (corr. acc.) a laxative, one sucks its leaves, and his food is digested; Cant. R. to IV, 12 ותרף עליה מצין לת׳ מזוניה; Pirke d'R. El. ch. תרפתא f. (תרף, cmp. דפא) healing, cicatrization. Keth. g~b דשיעורי ה׳ כי Vers. in Rashi a. Ar. as much pain as is caused by the healing of the puncture made in letting blood.
תרץ (cmp. תרוט) to make straight, level. Targ. Ps. CXIX, 128 (Ms. Pa.). Targ. Prov. XI, 6 תתרון Ms. (ed. Pa.); a. e. Pa. תרין 1) to make straight; to arrange, tead. Ib. B. Mets. 14b חוב בבעל נמי ורין מתרצת קא תרוצי לאו must you not (in order to uphold the Boraitha) explain it (that it refers to robbers) explain it just as well that it refers to a. creditor. Keth. 35b לה מתריץ היכי how will he harmonize the Mishnah (with his principle)? תרקב m. (= קב תרי) [two Kabs; later] three Kabs, a dry measure (v. Herzfeld, Metrol. Voruntersuch. II, p. 63 sq.); also a field reguiring a lTbkab of seed. Tosef. Maasr. II, 7 וכ׳ מת׳ פחותה אינה בינונית a medium size basket is no less than a Tarkab, a small one no less than two Kabs; (differ. in Y. ib. II, 49c bot.). Tam. V, 4 וכ׳ גדול לת׳ דומה והכף the spoon (for frankincense) re- sembled a large Tark ab . . ., Containing three Kabs. תרקיע m. (רקע) beaten metal, foil. Gen. R. s. 12, end (ref. to Job XXXVII, 18 וכ׳ תרקיע) ת׳ כמין נראים (ed. Vil., as Ar., תרקיא) the heavens look like a beaten metal plate; Yalk. ib. 19 תרקיא כמו יציקתן כבשעת נראין they look always as at the time they were cast, like &c.; (Y. Ber. I, 2a bot. כטס שעשויין מלמד תרקיע to ki a intimates that. they are like foil).

תרתר (cmp. נתר Pa.) to crumble, cast loose earth. Pesik. B'shall., p. 80a עליהון עפרא מתרתר שרי it (the domestic serpent) began to crumble dust upon them (the. garlic bulbs); Y. Ter. VIII, 46a וכ׳ מתרתר מישרי.
