Bromley, William, 1s. William, of Baginton, co. Warwick, k.b. Christ Church, matric. 12 April, 1679, aged 15; B.A. 1681, created D.C.L. 27 Aug., 1702, M.P. co. Warwick 1690-8, and for the University in 9 parliaments 1701-32, a student of the Middle Temple 1683, speaker of the House of Commons 1710, secretary of State 1713, died 13 Feb., 1731-2, aged 68; father of Clobery 1703.
