Croft, William, s. William, of Nether Eatington, co. Warwick, gent. Christ Church, matric. 9 July, 1713, aged 30; D. Mus. 9 July, 1713, organist and composer to King George, a gent. extraordinary of the Chapel Royal 1700, and organist of St. Anne's, Westminster, 1700, joint organist of the Chapel Royal 1704, full organist 1707, master of the children of the Chapel Royal, etc., and instrument keeper and organist of St. Peter's Church, Westminster, 1708, died at Bath on Monday, 14 Aug., 1729, buried in Westminster Abbey.
