Pilkington, Richard, M.A. from Emmanuel Coll., Cambridge, 1593, supld. 30 Oct., 1599, for incorporation from Queen's Coll., Oxon; B.D. 27 June, 1600, D.D. 8 July, 1607, rector of Hambledon, Bucks, 1595, archdeacon of Leicester 1625, etc.; perhaps rector of Salkeld, Cumberland, 1597-9, and treasurer of Lichfield cathedral 1625-8, archdeacon of Leicester 1625; died Sept., 1631; buried in the chancel of his church; father of Abraham 1621.
