Anstruther, Sir John, Bart., created D.C.L. 3 July, 1810, chief justice Bengal 1798-1806, advocate 30 July, 1774, created a baronet of Great Britain 18 May, 1798, M.P. Anstruther Easter, burghs, and Cockermouth (as John Anstruther, M.P., called a baronet). See Foster's Baronetage.
