Queen's Coll., matric. 4 July, 1745, aged 17; marshal of the Court of Admiralty 1751-3, secretary Greenwich Hospital 1753-85, a Welsh judge and second judge of Chester 1778-85, bar.-at-law, Inner Temple, 9 Feb., 1749-50, bencher 1786, K.C., recorder of Bristol 1764, commissary-general Gibraltar, a celebrated antiquary and naturalist, died 14th, buried in Temple Church 18 March, 1800.
