Beresford, Marcus Gervais, D.D. Trinity Coll., Cambridge (B.A. 1824, M.A. 1828, D.D. 1840), created D.C.L. 8 June, 1864, archbishop of Armagh 1862-85, bishop of Kilmore 1854-62, prelate of the order of St. Patrick and lord almoner to the Queen, admitted Trinity Coll., Dublin, 'ad eundem' Nov., 1832, died 26 Dec., 1885.
