Bourne, William Sturges, s. John Sturges, of Winchester, doctor. Christ Church, matric. 23 Oct. 1786, aged 17; B.A. 1790, M.A. 1793 as Sturges, created D.C.L. 15 June, 1831, as Bourne, which name he had assumed, privy councillor 10 Aug., 1814, bar.-at-law, Lincoln's Inn, 23 Nov., 1793, M.P. 1798-1801, 1802-12, 1815-31, home secretary April to July, 1827, etc., died 1 Feb., 1845.
