Bragge, Charles, s. Charles, of Bath (city), arm. New Coll., matric. 9 Nov., 1772, aged 18; B.C.L. 1785, created D.C.L. 16 June, 1814, then Right Hon. Charles Bragge-Bathurst, which latter name he had assumed by royal license, 11 May, 1804, chancellor of the duchy of Lancaster 1812-23, clerk of the presentations, chairman of committee of Supply 1799, P.C., 18 Nov., 1801, treasurer of the Navy 1801-3, sec. at War, Aug., 1803-4, master of the Mint 1806-10, president of Board of Control 1821, bencher of Lincoln's Inn 1813, M.P. 1790-1823, died 13 Aug., 1831.
