Brisbane, Lieut.-General Sir Thomas Makdougall, created D.C.L. 4 July, 1832, G.C.B., G.C.H., created a baronet 8 March, 1836, served in the Peninsular campaigns, governor New South Wales 1820-5, took the additional name of Makdougall by royal license 14 Aug., 1826, colonel 34th regiment 1832 (son of Thomas Brisbane, Esq.), died 27 Jan., 1860.
