Bruce, Henry Austin, Lord Aberdare, created D.C.L. 9 June, 1880, created a peer 23 Aug., 1873, G.C.B., bar.-at-law, Lincoln's Inn, 1837, M.P. Merthyr Tydvil 1852-68, co. Renfrew 1869-73, secretary of State, Home department 1869-73, etc. (son of John Bruce Bruce-Pryce, Esq., of Duffryn, co. Glamorgan), born 16 April, 1815. See Foster's Peerage.
