Eden, William, s. Robert, of Durham, baronet. Christ Church, matric. 2 April, 1762, aged 17; B.A. 1765, M.A. 1768, bar.-at-law, Middle Temple, 1768, M.P. Woodstock 1774-80, Heytesbury 1784, until created Lord Auckland 22 May, 1793, in England (created Baron Auckland in Ireland 18 Nov., 1789), auditor and director of Greenwich Hospital, recorder of Grantham, and chancellor of Marischal College, Aberdeen, statesman and diplomatist, died 28 May, 1814.
