Hopkins, Right Rev. John Henry, d.d.; created D.C.L. 3 Dec., 1867, bishop of Vermont, U.S., 1832; originally an iron manufacturer, then of the Pittsburgh bar, resigned 1823, rector of Trinity Church, Pittsburgh, 1824-31, died 9 Jan., 1868. See Gent's. Mag., 391.
