Lawley-Thompson, Paul Beilby, s. Robert, of Canwell, co. Stafford, baronet. Christ Church, matric. 11 Feb., 1803, aged 18, B.A. 1806; fellow All Souls' Coll. 1806-17, B.C.L. 1810 & D.C.L 1815, 8th baronet, M.P. Wenlock 1826-32, Yorkshire (South Riding) 1833-37, assumed the final surname of Thompson by royal licence 1 June, 1839, created Baron Wenlock 13 May, 1839, died 9 May, 1852.
