Balliol Coll., matric. 30 Nov., 1833, aged 17; scholar 1833-8, B.A. 1837, fellow 1838-64, M.A. 1840, tutor 1840, catechetical lecturer, moderator 1855-6, a student of Lincoln's Inn 1838, rector of Luffenham 1870-3, and of Huntspill, Somerset, 1873-8, professor of classical literature at King's College, London, 1865-70.
